What else can you tell me about the role?

As the Chair of the Club, it is essential you are a strong leader who can be objective. You will need to support the committee in their work so it is essential that you have access to a telephone and a computer. You will need to coordinate with the Treasurer to ensure that finances are appropriately managed throughout the year.

Additionally, you will also need to be able to speak openly and regularly with members ensuring that their concerns are addressed in a timely manner, and circulate updates on pressing issues as required.

How much time will I need to give to the role?

Approximately 5 - 6 hours per week for email contact, and 7 - 8 hours per month for meetings (incl, CLTC Management Committee Meetings).

Over the summer this time commitment can be less but there are key deadlines to adhere to which cannot be missed, such as EH accreditation and insurance renewal.
